How to book an appointment

Disclaimer

You can book appointments up to four weeks in advance. To help us prioritise appointments, the practice operates a system of telephone triage, so please do not be offended if the receptionists asks you questions about the appointment you wish to book.

Each morning we release more GP appointments for the upcoming days and weeks ahead.

Please remember that it is your responsibility to keep your appointment. Let us know if you cannot so that another patient may benefit.

Urgent calls will always be seen on the same day but not necessarily by your usual Doctor.
Make an appointment to see your GP or nurse by telephoning the surgery on 01253 229470

Provided you have registered first at: www.patient.co.uk/access Patient Access lets you use the online services of your local practice, which may include repeat medication, secure messages, medical records and updating your details.

Home Visits
House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.
A doctor may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Surgery.

If you wish to simply speak to the doctor over the phone, please contact reception and explain the nature of the call. Reception staff will then arrange a suitable time for you to speak to the doctor.

We do endeavour to run to time and not to have to cancel appointments at short notice, but on occasion this does happen. Unfortunately, we cannot be held liable for any financial claims due to delayed or cancelled appointments.

Please can you help us help you by using any of the following apps to order your repeat prescriptions the MyGP , NHS and Patient Access.

Thank you
